Krasniqi: Politicians have not worked a day for Albania, they are holding us

Political scientist Afrim Krasniqi said today that the figures representing Albanians in the Parliament and government are people who have not worked a single day for the country and its citizens.

Invited to A2 CNN, Krasniqi stated that these representatives have not only enriched themselves and turned into untouchable individuals, but are also holding Albania hostage for their personal interests.

"They are the richest people in Albania. They are the people who have not worked a day for this country, a day for the citizens. They are the richest people in Albania, the most untouchable people in Albania. When they have a personal problem, they hold Albania hostage for their personal problem. When their family has an investigation, they hold Albania hostage for their problem. When a foreign country makes a statement against them, they are ready to put the foreign country on public trial, to sever relations with that country just to protect themselves. We the people must have enough wisdom, enough courage and enough independence to understand that this type of politics has held us hostage and we must separate ourselves from the hostages to see into the future. The scene where today a majority MP requested an interpellation and was missing and the minister is the degradation of the degradation of the parliament. It means that there even the ministers have no fear of either the MPs of their own party, or of high officials.
