"Rama is destroying institutions"/ Mediu: Opposition protests to

MP and leader of the Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu, today accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of destroying every institution in the country, leading them towards degradation.

In a television appearance, Mediu said that Rama's behavior shows that the head of government is not interested not only in domestic and foreign policy, but also in Albania's security.

Regarding the national opposition protests, Mediu stated that the rallies must continue, to return Albania to the path required by the European Union.  

"The protest should not be taken as an isolated case, it is a protest against the Rama government, which has destroyed every institution in the country. Rama is degrading the institutions of the Albanian state. Rama behaves like a monarch. He does not ask about anything, neither about national security, nor about domestic or foreign policy. The last kilometer is for the democrats, but not only, it is for all citizens. There is an awareness that we live in a government that has completely scandalous affairs. This has caused Germany and the EU to react. The protests must continue, so that we can return Albania to the EU tracks. This government has nothing in common with the interests of Albania. The social reaction must be linked to the hope for change", - said Mediu./ CNA
