Shkodër/Ndou District Council Meeting: In focus, supporting care centers

The Shkodra District Council held its next meeting, focusing on issues related to improving social services, budget planning, and important infrastructure projects.

Among the main items on the agenda were the approval of requests for funding from the social fund for cooperation with non-profit organizations for 2026, changes to the budget and organizational structure for 2025, as well as the budget implementation report for the first 4 months of this year.

 "We are in favor of the draft decision on requests for funding from the social fund for cooperation with non-profit organizations for 2026, changes in the budget and organizational structure for 2025, as well as the budget implementation report for the first 4 months of this year. We have conducted visits to some of the residential centers and have seen the need for investments and maintenance," said Edmond Ndou, chairman of the Shkodra district council.  

Ndou focused specifically on support for centers that care for those in need, emphasizing that from the inspections they have conducted on the ground, they have seen up close the good work being done and the real needs they have.

Also, the first draft of the medium-term budget program 2026–2028 was approved, as well as the transfer of capital for the investment object "Asphalting the Kalldrun Cemetery Road" from the District Council to the Malësi e Madhe Municipality. /CNA
