Analyst Lorenc Vangjeli has analyzed the situation in the Democratic Party and remembered today the late Sokol Olldashi.

Vangjeli said in a TV appearance that the PD is still suffering the curse of Olldash, who he claims would have been the head of the PD if the statutory legitimacy of the election was respected.

According to him, if the deceased had taken the PD in 2013, the political history of the right, the opposition and Albanian politics would have been different.

" It is not political, but in the Balkans it is heard and believed a lot. Not a few Democrats, referring to this very moment where you put your finger, questionable legitimacy, whether political or moral, in a race with unforeseen consequences. We look at the consequences, but the reason for many, many Democrats, they mention a creepy, dramatic phrase. 

They say that everything is happening, said on the level of what is widely believed in the Balkans, we all grew up with myths, there is an expression: PD continues to suffer the curse of Sokol Olldash, the candidate, whose statutory legitimacy had been respected of the election would most likely have been the president of the DP in the distant year 2013 and also most likely the political history of this party, of the opposition, but perhaps also of Albanian politics, would have been different", the analyst emphasized./ CNA.al
