"The living minimum must be established"/ Berisha: More is being paid
Sali Berisha, former prime minister

"There should not be an Albanian who does not have 200 euros a month."

This is what former Prime Minister Berisha expressed as he underlined that a living minimum should be established, which is a blow to poverty.

Berisha stated that 1.3 million to 1.5 million Albanians benefit from the minimum wage.

He says that the work has been done that today the municipalities pay more for a dog, they pay 60,000 ALL for a dog and 40,000 ALL for a person.

" We return to our problem.

The main problem is that we have the minimum wage. I understand that these do not admit that they have a complex of denial and callousness.

Rejecting the bare minimum shows that you at least don't feel for them, but they are too much.

You have found it, all the statistics show that poverty has increased and economic assistance has been halved.

There were 120,000 families in 2013, and the study showed that there should be 180,000 more, so another 60,000 should be added.

They have halved these and the situation is that today the municipalities pay more for a dog, they pay 60,000 ALL for a dog and 40,000 ALL for a person.

We must vigorously defend the issue of the living wage. An issue that gives immediate impact.

There should be no Albanian who does not have 200 euros per month.

This is a strong blow of misery, but also of poverty.

1.3 million to 1.5 million Albanians benefit.

We will defend this, we promised during the election campaign.

But the living wage is sanctioned by law in every country. This is why extreme poverty no longer exists, it is gone.

Because they provide the vital minimum, so that people don't fall into the abyss", said Berisha./ CNA
