The Political Leader of the SP for the District of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has gone down to the base and is holding meetings for new memberships in the party.  

After the criticism he received in the Assembly of the SP in the first week of February, Veliaj apparently wants to fix his "mistakes" regarding the organization of the party in the largest district of the country.

Today he chose to meet with sympathizers in Unit 5 in Tirana, alongside the Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate, Delina Ibrahimaj and Elva Margariti. 

So, Veliaj has decided not to avoid the political leader of SP for unit 5, Ibrahimaj, but to hold meetings by her side.  He wanted to convey the message that he never avoids party structures during field meetings. 

During his speech, he underlined that SP has shown in the leadership of the country and the municipality that he knows how to do work and be close to the citizens and called for participation. 

"Today we start a campaign to open the Socialist Party, with young visionaries. We don't only need the numbers, but we also need the quality. I really want us to take this work to the end and for the 100 organizations we have, to we have 400 new members, like the fantastic chicks and chicks who will receive the card today", stated Veliaj.

Why this action of Veliaj?

We recall that in the Assembly of the SP, the socialists issued strong criticisms of the organization of the SP in Tirana, which is led by the mayor Erion Veliaj.

During this meeting, which lasted for more than 5 hours, the mayor Veliaj, former minister Olta Xhaçka, Etjen Xhafaj and others were the object of criticism.

Socialists issued a series of accusations against them, saying that Veliaj & Co hold meetings as NGOs.

According to them, Veliaj avoids structures and acts as an independent party./CNA
