"The Assembly should withdraw from the request to honor Enver Hoxha"/

The Chairman of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, in his speech at the joint meeting of the Committees for Human Rights and Public Information Means with the Committee for Civic Initiatives, asked the Assembly to withdraw from the request to honor the figure of dictator Enver Hoxha.

Bardhi, addressing the majority and the Ombudsman, Erinda Ballanca, who is presenting the 2024 report, said that the silence on the request to withdraw the request makes the deputies complicit.

"This is the darkest part of Albania's history, so the Parliament should withdraw from the request to honor Enver Hoxha. The Parliament brings a figure like Enver Hoxha to replace him in October, on the one hand remember the pain of the victims, on the other hand we are invited to replace the figure of Enver Hoxha.
