"The Assembly should distance itself from the DP's statements", Balla: We demand an immediate vote

The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, has requested that the discussions in the plenary session be interrupted and that the voting on the draft laws be moved to the voting part.

Balla said that this comes as a reaction to the opposition's statements about the EU ambassador, Silvio Gonzato. He said that the Parliament should react and distance itself from this opposition stance.

"Not only was no apology requested, but other serious statements were added, even though the European Union Commissioner has reacted like never before. I believe that it is in the institutional dignity of the Assembly to distance ourselves. The Assembly must react. The jokes and sub-questions of this party make me request, according to Article 49, the cessation of discussions and the immediate transition to voting. The obstruction of this party is a great regret for Albania. We will not allow the violation of the institutional dignity of the Assembly. We will take all measures, including a resolution that will distance us from this language.", said Balla. /CNA
