The majority rejects the motion for debate on "Oncology" with 54

The Assembly has included in the agenda the motion with debate on "Oncology". The Chairman of the Health Committee, Bardh Spahia, made the presentation in the Assembly.

Spahia cited the KLSH report and stated that AKBMP has not conducted any inspections for 3 years, the laboratory has only conducted 8 analyses in 3 years, and the program for antitumor drugs is underfunded.

The Democratic MP demanded a parliamentary investigation, full transparency, an increase in the budget for medicines and equipment, and legal guarantees for the basic list of the law.

"Yesterday at the Conference of Mayors there was a no to agreeing to the motion for "Oncology" drugs."

There is a rush from this majority to vote for bills like the one on gender equality that are completely anti-biological and anti-legal based on anti-national and anti-Albanian agendas.

Don't worry about those tens of thousands of patients and families, you've seen the investigative shows.

Today we were supposed to discuss the motion with debate on tumor diseases, but this majority chose to reject the debate. This Parliament has become an appendage of the executive, it is sad that the representatives of the citizens only raise their hands and carry out orders. This debate is not about making politics, but the citizens demand basic treatment that cannot be denied by any government.

The state that should offer you support has turned its back on you, the report is in the drawer, Madam Minister, while you have the responsibility to protect the health of citizens. The report provides an overview of the service to the citizen, of the patients who are hospitalized. The report shows that 46% of authorized drugs have never been exported, hospital pharmacies have expired drugs.

AKBMP has not conducted any inspections for 3 years, the laboratory has only conducted 8 tests in 3 years, the antitumor drug program is underfunded.

Are there patients in Europe and Britain today who face a lack of hospital conditions and medicines?

Every year the budget for drugs has decreased while the figures for consultancy have increased.

There are no beds, ultrasound and mammography are not performed, patients are forced to buy their own supplies, and the PET Scan does not work.

The rejected debate was for the citizens, not for the opposition, so today I demand a parliamentary investigation, full transparency, an increase in the budget for medicines and equipment, and legal guarantees for the basic list of the law.

"When you vote, do you think you are with the patients or against them?" said Spahia.

Health Minister Evis Sala said she will not play politics with patients. Sala stated that 200 million lek was allocated for medicines at the QSUT 3 days ago.

" I do not want to enter into the procedures of parliament and I do not want to do politics with the pain of patients. A few weeks ago I accepted a great challenge, which is not only mine and the government's, but above all it is personal since I am a doctor. I started my career precisely in that hospital, where these days I have touched every nook and cranny. I have met patients, doctors, nurses, sanitation workers. Without noise and without the media. The challenges exist and we are acting. Just 3 days ago, the reallocation of a fund of 200 million lek for medicines at the QSUT was approved ", said Sala.

After presentation and discussion, the motion was defeated by majority vote. / CNA
