The candidate for Fier of the Mundësia Party, Frida Mavriqi, has shared her position regarding the contribution of a candidate in politics, and especially related to the new names in the race for the parliamentary elections of May 11. In a video posted on social networks, Mavriqi explained what according to her is the only promise; to be a strong one in the Albanian Parliament.

In response to a question asked to her at an event, Mavriqi states that her contribution to politics begins at this moment.

According to Mavriqi, her decision to run in the Fier Region is the time when her journey in politics begins.

Mavriqi also shared a very personal reflection related to her professional commitment.

“One of the most interesting questions during POP - Confronting Political Offers was from a young man who was also a first-time voter: “What contribution have you young candidates made that we should trust you with?”

My only promise is that I will be a strong voice in that Parliament for the entire Fier Region. As for my personal contribution. Maybe I don't have any very essential contribution to society to say that I have done this, I have also helped this or through my profession. I have made a profession as a journalist, as a psychologist it is my choice as a profession and maybe we should not sell it like what we have done. We have made a profession like everyone else and it happened that our contribution is not what it should have been in fact. I think this is a reflection. I am speaking on my behalf at least, for myself. But my contribution to politics starts now and in society. It starts now with the decision that I made to actively participate in politics. It starts now with the decision that I made to be a voice in the Fier Region. This is my contribution that I will pledge to start from the moment I enter that parliament and until you no longer believe me. "My biggest struggle is to win the vote of the youth and to gain their trust. If I don't win it, it's my problem and I have to work harder," said Mavriqi. /CNA
