The former American congresswoman, Vicky Hartzler, has opposed the decision of the American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, to declare former Prime Minister Sali Berisha "non-grata" in May 2021.

Hartzler said he doesn't see enough evidence for this decision signed by Blinken.

She stated in an appearance for the media that she hopes that the new administration will remove the measure as an unwanted person for Berisha.

"I heard more about this while I was in Albania. I am very concerned to hear this because it seems like there is no proof or evidence to give him such a thing. It's not fair. I am hoping that with the new administration we will have a new Secretary of State and this will turn around.
