The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, in today's plenary session, focused on the negotiation process with the EU and the opposition's statements.

Balla said that it is a fact confirmed by European institutions that Albania has fulfilled all obligations and intermediate milestones.

Addressing the opposition, Balla said that they should give up the accusations they are making against Albania because they do not have an enemy country, but the opposition is an irreplaceable part of the country's democracy.

 

 

" The annual report on the accession process has arrived in the Assembly, together with the report of the first month of 2026. What we have to say is not the hope or curses of those who try every day to say that the negotiations have stalled. It is a fact from the EC, EP and CoE that Albania has today fulfilled all the obligations arising from the EU accession process. All intermediate milestones have been met. There is a procedure that passes from the EC to the CoE and then to the member states. Give up this mud that you are throwing at Albania, you do not have an enemy country, but you are an irreplaceable part of its democracy. It is a historic moment for us to take this entire historical aspiration forward together ," said Balla./CNA
