13 years of massacre and food security risk

After 13 years in power, Edi Rama is trying to present himself as the solution to a problem that he himself created and neglected for so long: food security.

It's not just a delay: It's a deliberate failure.

For more than a decade, the food market in Albania has been left out of control. Products have entered without standards, without traceability and without serious supervision. Institutions that were supposed to guarantee safety have been used as electoral pawns; they have become formal structures, used for selective pressure and corrupt purposes, and not for the protection of citizens. Instead of building a functional system, a reality has been tolerated where order is replaced by connections, and standard by political or corrupt favor.

Concerns that have been expressed for years by society, the media, and the opposition. So, not a new topic or problem that arose suddenly.

Today, after the damage has been done and the consequences are visible on public health, the Prime Minister comes out and blames farmers and producers. This is not only an avoidance of responsibility, but a reversal of reality.

This is a complete mockery of the citizens.

Because farmers have never been the problem. The problem has been the lack of policies, the lack of control, and the lack of will to build standards.

The question is not why the farmers are not ready. The question is: who left them without support for 13 years?

Instead of investing in laboratories, in food chain control, in education and standardization of production, the government has chosen the easier path: propaganda. Today, food safety is used as a justification for negotiations with the EU and as material for electoral consumption, not as a real priority for the lives of citizens.

And what's most worrying is that, even now, there is no concrete plan.

There is no detailed strategy for control and standardization,

There is no functional support model for farmers,

There is no transparency on the implementation mechanisms,

There are no detailed measures, no clear responsibilities, no measurable objectives. Only declarations or so-called cooperation agreements for law enforcement and attempts to shift blame.

The truth is simple: food security in Albania is not a new problem. It has been an open wound for years. And the responsibility for this situation has a clear political address.

Any attempt to present oneself today as a "flagship" of this cause, after 13 years of inaction, is nothing more than another act of propaganda. And propaganda, in this case, is not simply deceptive, it is another poisonous substance, another harmful food for Albanians.
