"Immediate investigation of the case"/ Pano denounces the electoral

Democratic Party (DP) candidate for deputy, Jonatan Pano, has denounced a case of electoral asphalt on "Siri Kodra" street.

In a post on social media, Pano demands an immediate investigation by the CEC, KAS, and to stop the works in violation of the law.

“ According to reports from citizens, on Siri Kodra Street, Administrative Unit No. 8, Tirana Municipality, municipal employees were found carrying out asphalt works on the eve of the elections on May 11, 2025. This constitutes a clear violation of the Electoral Code, which prohibits the use of public resources, the launch of new projects or the promotion of investments during the election period, with the aim of influencing the will of the voters (otherwise known as “electoral asphalt”).

I request from the Central Election Commission, the Complaints and Sanctions Commission (KAS) and other competent bodies:

 • Immediate investigation of the case;

 • Taking legal and administrative measures against those responsible;

 • Stopping works in violation of the law;

 • Public transparency on this issue.

The event is documented with visual evidence (photo/video), which can be made available upon request. In respect of the integrity of the electoral process, I demand swift and impartial action ,” Pano writes./ CNA
