Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has described Erion Veliaj as a bigger thief than Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Berisha asked Veliaj to resign and not wait for the next protest.  

"The biggest thief after Edi Rama, Erion Veliaj. Your protest in support of the Alliance for the Protection of the Theater was a major act of civic responsibility, with which you proved that the rampant and unprecedented thefts of Erion Velia and his gang cannot and will never be accepted by you.

Veliaj has his place on the pillar of national shame and not in the office of the first citizen of Tirana.

I tell him tonight, Erion resigns immediately. Don't wait for the next protest because with your attitudes you have stolen the citizens of the nation like no other conqueror and government in the history of this city.
