After being accused by the deputy of the Democratic Party, Ervin Saljani, that the race for the post of General Director of Police was just a facade, the Minister of the Interior, Ervin Hoxha, refuted it, saying that the race was transparent and that anyone who will run can to be part of.

"The competition has been very transparent, the application is online and anyone who will become the General Director of Police and meets the conditions can be part of the competition. The procedure for the selection will continue in the following days and the answers are expected. Within this week, the candidate who will be able to win this race will be presented," said Minister Hoxha

During the debate at the Security Committee Meeting, Minister Hoxha also mentioned the murder of Egli Proga in Pogradec, where he said that the event took on false forms and that mud was thrown on the work of the State Police.
