The Democratic Party has opened its branch in Parma, Italy.

During a meeting of the democrats in Parma, the head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, delivered his speech in a direct connection where he emphasized that there is an electoral autocracy in Albania.

Berisha said that the government controls the will of the citizens and does not respect any international standards for conducting elections.

He underlined that Prime Minister Edi Rama will stop at nothing to grab the fourth mandate.

Berisha then told how the elections in Himare were stolen.

"We will make every possible contribution to the sister party, with which we have a close cooperation since the 90s. The situation in Albania at the electoral level is an electoral autocracy, identical to Lukashenko's Belarus and Maduro's Venezuela.

Regimes control the will of citizens. We are committed to march with strong protests for a technical government, with the development of fair elections in Albania.

It has been proven repeatedly that Rama does not respect any international standards for the conduct of elections and does not know any rules. It will stop at nothing to grab the mandate that belongs to you.

The truth is that behind this, there were Rama's mafia interests in Himara's territories and lands. Excluded from voting more than 6 thousand voters in a completely legal process.

Himara in this case showed what is the attitude of this autocrat towards the elections. We are determined in this battle. This battle must be crowned with technical government and victory.

I expect from the DP branches in Italy, the biggest contribution in this battle. We are in front of a regime that does not respect the rules, to restore the free vote through a technical government", said Berisha./ CNA
