Eurobond of 650 million euros with a 10-year maturity is issued / Prime Minister

Prime Minister Edi Rama, through a video on social media, spoke about the Eurobond issuance. Rama explained the positive effects that this issuance brings.

"This was the most successful issuance ever in terms of three things. First, the interest of foreign investors, they offered 4.3 times more than our need and even during the day the offer went to 5.7 times more than our need. Which made us lower the interest rate to drive away some of the investors. This coverage is the highest recorded in Central and Eastern European countries since October 2024. Second, the highest number of investors, 159 such interested. Third, a lower interest rate for Albania, than for countries like Serbia and Romania for ten-year bonds, which actually have a higher rating than us at the moment," said Rama.

 

 

The government raised a 650 million euro Eurobond on the English stock exchange with an interest rate of 5%. The Ministry of Finance previously explained that the debt should be repaid over 10 years./ CNA
