Analyst and journalist Mentor Kikia, in a statement for CNA, revealed that to force a government to fall, great citizen pressure is needed, which translates into more people on the streets, in protests.

Kikia said that Prime Minister Edi Rama has shown that he is afraid of the crowd, as happened in 2013 with the protest against "chemical weapons", or the student protest in 2017.

He underlines that the protests that the opposition has organized so far are much more aggressive than those, but are not large enough in number to force the government to sit down and agree to negotiate.

"The opposition is intensifying the protests and the dose of aggressiveness is also increasing. Edi Rama, meanwhile, has not given any sign that he might consider the option of resigning and creating a transition government."

On the contrary, it warns that it will also convincingly win the 2027 local elections. To force a government to fall, it takes great citizen pressure, which means many people on the streets, in protests.
