The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, said today that yesterday's opposition protest was a new chapter for the country, through a peaceful uprising against the government led by Prime Minister Edi Rama.

In a conference from the DP headquarters, Berisha said that yesterday's participation convinced Albanians of the government's position and the certain victory over it.

"The protesters yesterday whitened the face of Albania. They marked a new chapter in the peaceful uprising of the Albanian people against the narco-regime of Edi Rama. After February 20, 1991, February 10, 2026 will be marked in the Albanians' struggle for national and human dignity as the most important event and the brightest page for liberation from the criminal auto-dictatorship headed by Edi Rama. Gratitude to those who yesterday restored the hope and faith of Albanians in their triumph over the narco-state. Albania is different today, it is never the same as the day before. This is the great merit of people of ideals and sacrifice, ready to defend the most precious ideals. Convince every Albanian that victory over the narco-regime is certain and that Rama is an unburied political corpse. His regime stinks and must be thrown out as soon as possible", - said Berisha. /CNA
