"Intolerable"/ Spahiu: Albania, the only country in Europe where the

Democratic MP Bardh Spahia described the current situation in the country regarding healthcare services as intolerable.

In a television studio, Spahia said that Albania is the only country in all of Europe where the lives and health of citizens are placed in the background.

"I commend the work of all the journalists who brought to light an investigative work, who brought to light all the defects of the system. Health problems, which unfortunately have an impact on the health and life of every Albanian citizen.

There are endless such cases, they are often denounced not only by you as a journalist. But also by us, not only as doctors, but also as representatives of the population in parliament. It is sad to see how a health system should be built entirely for the benefit of citizens.

Where it is not in vain that it is constantly said that the center and focus of all efforts for a good health system. It should be precisely the Albanian citizen. And every effort of Albanian institutions should be focused towards this direction. But I regret to note that unfortunately in Albania it has been completely lost.

In every country in the world, the healthcare system is the one area where people are never satisfied enough but always demand more. When it comes to health and life, everyone wants the maximum.

But on the other hand, it is intolerable that in a country in the middle of Europe such as Albania, the lives and health of citizens should take precedence over the second plan. The costs are very heavy, but also for the lives of citizens," Spahia said. /CNA
