The Chairman of the Movement for National Development, Dashamir Shehi, reacted today regarding the possibility of cooperating with the opposition to come up with a joint candidate in the elections for the Municipality of Tirana.
In a statement to the media, Shehi said that he would be happy if such an agreement were reached.
Shehi added that the most suitable candidate for the opposition would be an individual with moral and political prestige.
"Well, I would be happy if this work were done and with my modest thing I am trying, at least with some idea. It depends on the character they want to put in. If they put in a guy who is attractive, who has moral and political prestige, I would go behind him with great pleasure. We did this work when there was Doctor Kosova and others and it was not without success at all. But it depends now, if Berisha's group wants to put in any of those who are around there, who have no problem winning the elections, but they have a problem representing these", - said Shehi./CNA
