The President of the Former Politically Persecuted, Besim Ndregjoni, commented today regarding the latest developments for the Municipality of Tirana.

In his speech during a television interview, Ndregjoni stated that the arrested former mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, deserved to be dismissed because he made the incinerator scandals.

Ndregjoni also focused on the situation with the opposition facing the majority, adding that this political wing lacks vision.

"Erion Veliaj deserved to be dismissed, because he concreted Tirana, made the incinerator scandals. Not that he didn't deserve to be dismissed, but his end came the same as during the time of the Party of Labor. The propaganda revolves around "The Great", they are following the same methods as Enver Hoxha. The Prime Minister said that until 2050, my party will lead. It reminds me of the time of the dictatorship, when I walked with 5-year plans. We are in the time of the dictatorship. There is no free opposition in Albania, there is no free media.
