Prime Minister Edi Rama held the closing election meeting in Lezha today. In his speech, Rama focused on voting for the May 11 elections.

Rama began his speech by reading a message from a citizen living abroad, who according to Rama is a democrat, but has an appreciation for the Socialist Party and therefore will change direction.

Rama said that there is a bubble of democrats from the diaspora who will join the SP on May 11.

Rama stated that the diaspora does not see the country through the eyes of the opposition.

"The category of a bubble of democrats from the diaspora who will join us on May 11 because there they do not see Albania with the eyes of a swamp. There they see it with the eyes of Europe. There they do not see it as a stubborn swamp. Here, gathered in those crowds behind the owl. There they see Albania with the eyes of Albanians who until yesterday lowered their heads when told where they are from, while today they turn them back directly that they are from Albania. That is why I am very confident on May 11", said Rama.

Rama also shared a message for voters from abroad who have registered to vote, to return their ballot envelopes to Albania.

"And by the way, I want to make a call to all those who have taken the trouble and registered, that now, the envelopes that are sent to their homes or to places where there were problems with the distribution, to take them, put the vote on number 5 and return them. It is a shame that they have registered and the envelope remains at home without contributing to this story", said Rama. /CNA
