PD has accused the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, that the prices of tenders for the construction of schools in the capital are among the most expensive in Europe.

The DP coordinator, Klevis Balliu, in a statement to the media, said that Veliaj has decided to build the "Edit Durham" school in Tirana with 3388 euros per square meter. He emphasized that in total the tender captures the figure of 4.9 million euros.

At the end of the statement, Balliu added that all these scandals are the reason to continue the protests in front of Tirana City Hall and called for participation on Thursday, August 22 at 11 o'clock.

Erion Veliaj, upon coming to the head of the municipality, has broken records in abuses and thefts. The current government does not invest in education but sees education as an opportunity to steal.

Veliaj invented the educational infrastructure tax by means of which schools would be built which have not been built, which is an abuse of the funds of this tax.

Secondly, those schools that have been built or are being designed to be built have extremely inflated figures that exceed even the most developed European countries.
