DP leadership member Grigels Muçollari has denounced a case in the capital where residents have been left without a way out. Muçollari states that for two years, residents of "Alije Këlliçi" street have been unable to enter and exit their apartments.

The reason for this is the negligence of the Tirana Municipality to enable residents to have access to the recently built Ring Road, near Shqiponja Square. Muccollari said that residents are convinced that behind this project there are hidden occult interests of Veliaj, who according to them wants to remove them from their apartments in agreement with the builders who want to build in this area.

"We are located on 'Alije Këlliçi' Street, at the end of the Aviation Field. We have a flagrant case where the municipality, instead of being on the side of the citizens, the residents, has come out against them and has been making their lives miserable for more than two years. Hundreds of families have built their homes here with their own sweat and effort, legalized homes, each with a postal code. Meanwhile, suddenly, the municipality comes and decides to close the street to them. It decides to isolate them. It makes it impossible for them to enter and exit their homes.

With a project that hides occult interests. Residents are convinced that the municipality is doing it to force residents to leave in favor of agreements with builders who want their properties to be built according to the conditions and criteria they want. So the municipality becomes a party to its clients, against the residents. All this, even in contradiction with what the Road Authority has requested. According to the letter in question, the Road Authority has informed the Municipality that it has a legal obligation to solve this problem of residents for the streets "Vëllazërimi", "Alije Këlliçi" and has even informed the Council of Ministers since 2022. But the Municipality, and even the Council of Ministers, do not even deign to respond, they move forward against the residents.

The municipality's project definitively closes the way for hundreds of families to go to their homes, this project does not allow either the ambulance or the fire department to provide assistance to citizens. This abusive project that violates the right of easement, endangers the lives of the families in question. We are here to denounce this affair and to make the voices of these citizens heard. We call on the Municipality of Tirana to provide an immediate solution to this vital problem of hundreds of families. Citizens want a solution and are not interested in the clan war within the SP. We call on you to provide a solution immediately, otherwise you will face a criminal charge for abuse of office.
