Kos's statement on the elections/Zhulali: Challenges the DP and the

International Affairs expert Ilda Zhulali, invited to Syri TV, spoke about Marta Kos's statements regarding the elections in Albania.

Zhulali said that Kos's statement should be seen as a challenge to the Democratic Party.

A statement which Zhuali also called a challenge to EU institutions, referring to the OSCE/ODIHR report.

The expert stated that Kos's statement will be followed up further after the verbal note made by the DP.

 

 

" I think that all the circumstances and conditions have matured and that there is a higher self-awareness of the Democratic Party to handle things a little differently. I had an interview earlier, two days ago, in the eye and I said that we should see this statement by Marta Kos simply as a challenge to the Democratic Party, that we have seen things also because of the developments in Albania, very closely. So, linked only to the opposition. Because this statement by Marta Kos was not simply a challenge to the opposition, to the PD or to those who voted only for the opposition. It was a direct challenge to the institutions of the European Union itself. Starting with the European Parliament, which sent a mission with observers to Albania, which was headed by Michael Gahler. Yes. He also had a statement after the mission in Albania ended, he followed up this findings of this mission with a special session of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament in Brussels, where it was widely discussed there, but at the same time this delegation was in a certain Sonila co-author of the OSCE-ODIHR final report.

Because this report is written by those who observe the elections. And the European Parliament is a co-author of this report. So, Marta Kos challenges not only the European Parliament, which is the institution that gave her the vote of confidence. So, she depends on the European Parliament, but she has also challenged the OSCE-ODIHR. And she does not have the guts to do this. That is why the Democratic Party has made the right decision to convey this concern with a verbal note and to say something else, that by speaking with diametrically opposed positions, in the eyes of Albanians, there is a, a very great damage that undermines all the trust that citizens have in the integration process, but especially in European institutions, because rightly, an Albanian asks, who represents the EU? Does Marta Kos represent it?

That is, this follows the official path.
