The court of Vlora today left Fredi Beleri, the candidate of the coalition "Bashke Fitomje" for the municipality of Himara, in prison, while his file was handed over to SPAK.

After the decision was handed down, a harsh reaction came from Beler's lawyer, who claims that the arrest of the opposition candidate was for political reasons.

He said that within 10 days the validation of the security measure in SPAK will be done. He also stated that the charges have not been substantiated and that nothing was found on Beleri in flagrante delicto.

"The arrest was for political reasons and it was considered legal. They appointed the SPAK for competence. Within 10 days, the security measure will be validated in SPAK. The charges were not substantiated. It is a political and mounted attack. The existence of the lists was not proven at any time, it was going out of the bar. Nothing was found in flagrante delicto. We were not in flagrante conditions. It was a set of simulated actions by the police that an individual used", emphasized the lawyer./ CNA.al
