The newly sworn-in President, Bajram Begaj, gave another speech after arriving at the Presidency, where he officially took office.

Begaj thanked the outgoing president Ilir Meta and declared that he will be a servant of the people and a representative of national unity.

"I want to thank President Meta for the fulfillment of the task, the communication we had during the time we had when I exercised the task and when he transferred the office. Today is a special day for me. Without a doubt, it is the most important day of life. I am before you and I address you with the greatest honor and privilege, that of the president of the Republic.

This belief burdens me with the greatest responsibility to the citizens of my nation, to the partners of Albania and to the friends of my family, today I swore loyalty to the constitution, to protect the independence of Albania and to serve the progress of the Albanian people. I will be a servant of my people, a representative of national unity. I will be a steadfast supporter of the Euro-Atlantic journey for all Albanians of Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and the Presheva Valley.

I am a contributor and supporter of communication and cooperation. Guaranteeing the implementation of the constitution means guaranteeing the law also for the fight against organized crime. Today, more than ever, unity and cooperation of the political classes is required", said Begaj./ BA - CNA.al
