The deputy of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, spoke in an interview about the relationship he had with Lulzim Basha and what made him stop supporting him.

He says that the path that Basha is following is wrong and he even says that he now sees Basha differently than he did before.

Bardhi also spoke about the cooperation with Berisha and showed how much he will follow him in the political journey.

How do you interpret the expression "Gazment Bardhi killed the political father"?

"No it's not true. I have shared all my views with Mr. Basha. I was among his best associates. But as long as I have to stay loyal to Basha, I have an obligation to stay loyal to the citizens. Before the political part, I must preserve the human part. My entire political stance has nothing to do with Gazment Bardhi's political career, otherwise I would have chosen a more comfortable path. I have decided to be true in politics. The path that Basha has followed and is following is wrong, it will not lead the PD anywhere. Basha is motivated to speak only by his personal ambition. I am a member of the Democratic Party. By law, the Democratic Party does not have a chairman today."

What are you seeing in Basha now?

"Now look at a different Basha than I had seen or perceived all these years. I don't understand where Basha will go. I felt regret when he said that he will vote for the law to increase the salaries of the Constitutional Court, so that they will be more independent. What independence will Basha serve when this court legalizes constructions without permission."

Berisha spoke about unification. Would you follow Berisha?

"I have been calling for more than a year and a half to stop the conflict and make the union possible. I have said that I will do everything to unify the opposition in parliament. We will continue the meeting with 59 deputies. Basha is also invited there," said Bardhi."

Berisha has called for protests. Would you join Berisha's protest?
