The Political Leader of the Socialist Party for the Tirana Region, Taulant Balla, and the Minister of Agriculture, Andis Salla, held a conversation with farmers in Rrogozhina, where the focus was on the support package for agriculture for 2026.

During the meeting, concrete needs for improving irrigation infrastructure were discussed, as an important step to help farmers and increase agricultural production in the area. In the presence of the minister, Balla raised the need for concrete interventions that enable the distribution of water to agricultural lands as a concern.

"This is the largest reservoir that we don't need because we don't have two siphons. If we had two siphons, we would solve the problems. We have water, but the water doesn't go where it needs to go for irrigation," said Balla, requesting that this investment be realized as soon as possible to help farmers in the area.

In his speech, Balla also focused on financial support for agriculture, emphasizing the increase in the budget for this sector for 2026 and changes to the oil scheme for farmers.

"Now one thing is true that despite all our efforts, doing it with a card, taking every necessary measure, the oil never went to agriculture. The new scheme that is being implemented by the new minister, I think, is a good scheme that will give the right effect. 1100 farmers of Rrogozhina are beneficiaries. But it is the irreplaceable role of the municipality to guarantee that everyone who is entitled to it must also apply", said Balla./ CNA
