The deputy of the Democratic Party, Luan Baçi, described the visit of the US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, to Tirana as a whip for the majority.

Baçi said in a television interview that Blinken's arrival will be an appreciation for Albanians and a guarantee for Albania in a time of wars.

He emphasized that it would not be bad if there was a meeting of the American secretary with the leaders of the opposition.

"The visit of the US Secretary of State is a great appreciation for Albania. Appreciation for all Albanians. For the majority it is a whip and not an appreciation, for 1001 reasons. The visit is for Albanians and not for the majority.

Visits from a strategic partner like the USA are in the framework of the bilateral partnership. It is a strong guarantee for us in a troubled world, where the leading country of NATO is on our side.
