The staff is reduced/ How many employees does the ministry run by Blendi Gonxhja

At the beginning of 2024, Prime Minister Edi Rama rewarded his loyalist, Blendi Goxhen, by putting him in charge of a new minister, that of Economy, Culture and Innovation. 

With this action, Rama displaced Elva Margariti as Minister of Culture. 

But after the creation of this new ministry, the Council of Ministers decided today to reduce the staff of employees in finance, culture and innovation. 

According to the new decision, in the apparatus of the ministry responsible for economy, culture and innovation, the number of employees is currently 275 people. 

DECISION: 
In support of Article 100 of the Constitution and Article 12 of Law No. 97/2023, "On the 2024 budget", with the proposal of the Minister of Finance, the Council of Ministers decided:

1. The number of employees of the ministry responsible for finance, approved in the 2024 budget, is reduced by 113 (one hundred and thirteen) employees.

2. The number of employees of the apparatus of the ministry responsible for culture, approved in the 2024 budget, is reduced by 91 (ninety one) employees.

3. The number of reserve employees of the approved budget for 2024 is reduced by 71 (seventy-one) employees, bringing the total number of reserve employees to 29 (twenty-nine) people.

4. The number of employees mentioned in points 1, 2 and 3, of this decision, is allocated to the apparatus of the ministry responsible for economy, culture and innovation, and the number of employees for this ministry becomes 275 (two hundred and seventy-five) people.
5. The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation are charged with the implementation of this decision.

This decision enters into force immediately and is published in the "Official Gazette"./ CNA
