The head of the Movement for National Development, Dashamir Shehi, has rejected the Democratic Party's invitation to unite the opposition.

In an interview with Marsela Karapançon, Shehi said that he is against the union of the opposition with Sali Berisha and Lulzim Basha.

"I am neither with Basha nor with Berisha, we are on our own. They don't give us the certificate of who is opposition. I am neither with one nor the other. I hope a new group emerges, because these were them", he said, while describing Berisha and Basha as the same currency.

"Berisha and Basha are the same currency, if you give it back like this, if you give it like that, 10 Lek makes a coin. Let's build a new road, I appeal to all my colleagues", continued the head of LZHK.

Shehi stated that in the 2025 elections he said he will enter alone.

"We must enter the elections on our own as the other oppositions also enter, we must consider each other colleagues but also rivals, when the elections are over we will crystallize. "All the disaffected will come to us wherever they go," he stressed./ CNA
