Berisha: Rama, McGonigal's friend who covers affairs with fig leaves

The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, compared the opposition with the majority led by Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Berisha said that he and PD had the US president, George W. Bush, as a friend, while Rama is proud of the former senior FBI official arrested for corruption, Charles McGonigal.

He stated that Rama is using fig leaves to cover up thefts, his ties to crime, the misery of Albanians and the mass exodus.

The chief democrat also listed differences in the actions of the two governments regarding salaries, immigration, crime, democracy and natural resources.

Berisha made this comparison during the speech given to the protesters below his house.

Excerpt from the statement:

My friends!

We are not the same. We had the president of the USA as a friend.

Edi Rama was proud of McGonigal, he called McGonigal a friend.

We are not the same because we joined Albania in NATO with deep reforms, Edi Rama organized protests with Enver Hoxha's portrait against NATO membership.

We will never be the same, as DP turned into a real locomotive of integration processes. The DP's pro-Europeanism and pro-Americanism stems from the Western vocation of the Albanian nation.

For Edi Rama, his Renaissance, these are just fig leaves to cover his thefts, to cover his connections with crime, to cover the misery of the Albanians, their expulsion from Albania.

We are not the same because we never thought and did not accept to return monism to Albania. We never agreed to lobby for the control of the opposition or its destruction.

On the contrary, we did everything to consolidate the values ??of democracy. While Edi Rama, turning the vote into a crime and the crime into a vote, engaging crime money against the opposition, denying the constitutional rights in the opposition parliament, arresting the leader of the Democratic Party, did everything for an Albania without opposition.

February 20 is the day on which the tyrant received the punishment, February 20 is the day on which Edi Rama must learn the biggest lesson.

Europe is eagerly awaiting your word, the word of the Albanian citizens.

My friends, we are not the same because Edi Rama and his evil seed of Renaissance, by stealing, drove Albanians away from Albania more than anything else.

Whereas we doubled salaries, doubled pensions, did everything to make Albania a livable country. And the truth is that we left power at a time when Albania was growing year by year in population.

At a time when hundreds of thousands of Albanians returned from emigration to build the nest of their future in Albania.

We are not the same because for us, the fight with zero tolerance for crime was the immutable law. One by one the gangs were disbanded, their bosses faced the law.

Edi Rama, connected to crime, drugs, released serial killers from prison. He gathered those who are and are not, turned them into strategic investors.

And now he will rush like a beast against the protected areas, the fabulous possessions of the Albanians.

We are not the same because we believe in freedom, in human dignity. We believe in voting. To free speech.

In the Renaissance, the vote no longer exists. There is only one vote, there is only one voice, there is only one person and this is the patriarch Edi Rama./ CNA
