The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, pointed the finger at the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, as he spoke about the arrest of the directors, in connection with the 5 D file.

Brisha said during his speech to the protesters that the 5 directors of the firm that won the tenders of the municipality represent a slanderous and disgusting thief.

He stated that they are headed by Veliaj, who he claims knew everything about their affairs and took his share.

"I will say two more words about these famous 5D, five thieving directors. Each of them, you will forgive the expression, but represents a human mask, a slanderous, despicable thief. But my friends, their master thief, goes in and out of the office without a thorn in his foot.

And he is Erion Veliaj, who knew everything about their affairs. He knew everything about the winning tenders. He took the lion's share of those tenders. Dumani also has a special application with which this slanderous gang used to communicate only with Velia, who stole money from the citizens of Tirana in his name," the former prime minister emphasized./ CNA
