The German ambassador in Tirana, Karl Bergener, in a statement to the media from Korça, appealed to the majority to respect the rights of the opposition, thus referring to the last opposition action led by Sali Berisha.

According to Bergener, a balance between opposition and majority work is currently needed.

"I would hope to see a united opposition soon to play its part against the current government in parliament. I think that the government can also help by respecting the right of the opposition more than what it does, I do not say that it is not present until these moments, but there should be a balance between the work of the opposition and that of the majority," said Bergener.

Referring to Sali Berisha's announcement that the opposition is seeing protests as an option, Bergener said that there are better ways to challenge the Rama government. He underlined that there are legal ways to oppose the actions of the government. 

"I think that if all the energy goes to protests, it is not a good job, because the energy should go to creating alternatives to government policies and providing concrete proposals. I see that there is energy towards what is happening in the parliament to make incidents and this is not a good idea. There are better ways to challenge, if the opposition is not happy with the government, there are legal ways to oppose," he said./ CNA
