The parliamentary group of the Socialist Party has demanded the expulsion of 3 democratic deputies, as it claims that the latter are responsible for the situation created on Thursday in the Parliament and the failure to properly conduct the parliamentary session.

Socialists demand the expulsion of MPs Saimir Korreshi, Elda Hoti and Lindita Metaliaj, as they claim that Korreshi took the cigarettes from the bags of 2 fellow MPs that he lit in the Assembly.

"The situation in the plenary hall worsened even more when MP Saimir Korreshi was seen taking some cigarette lighters from the bags of two female MPs Elda Hoti and Lindita Metaliaj, lighting them and making the normal development of the agenda impossible and difficult and the discussions of registered deputies", the socialists' request states.

For this reason, the majority requested the exclusion of three deputies.

"The repeated situation at the beginning of every plenary session by opposition MPs, hindering the development of its order, is intolerable. The chaos created by certain MPs of the opposition in the plenary session of 09.11.2023 by removing the chairs from their seats and placing them as a barricade in front of the pulpit and blocking it is contrary to the regulation of the Assembly of Albania", the request states.
