The EU ambassador, Luigi Soreca, stated during the press conference that the EU has returned the enlargement to the political agenda.
Soreca stated that the objective is to open the main chapters at the end of this year.
He emphasized that Albania is at the climax of the negotiation process and will have the opportunity to show the progress of the reforms.
"Albania has been actively engaged and has shown a high rank in the analytical process. I want to congratulate the whole team for the very good representation of Albania in the EU negotiations. Our objective is to open a group of major chapters at the end of this year. We have entered the climax of the negotiation process.
