Deputy Jorida Tabaku reacted harshly to the government for the rejection of 6 draft laws by the majority in today's plenary session.

Tabaku said in a statement to journalists that the bills were dropped only because they were proposed by the opposition, rejecting the work of a year.

She declared that today the socialists should reflect on the draft EC report, but the opposite happened, the constitutional right of the opposition was violated.

"I believe you attended today's session. The initiatives that I have introduced that are in line with EU standards so that we don't have offshore. They say they are very good, but the opposition proposed them. But at the moment when the 1-year work collapses with the force of cardboard, I think that the opposition is at the limits of the parliamentary spaces. On December 8 of last year, I also proposed the law on investigative commissions and they have been keeping it in the drawer for a year and have not approved any measure with the claim that a new law will be drafted.

The focus today should be, in addition to the discussions in the Parliament, also a reflection on the draft report of the EC. It has been a year since the Albanian government has not undertaken any reforms. The last reform is that of justice in 2016. At the moment when the government understands that the integration process requires reforms and inclusiveness. For a year this has not happened. Progress report proved us right. The constitutional right of the opposition should absolutely not be trampled under foot", emphasized the MP.

Tabaku was asked by journalists about the behavior of opposition colleagues in the Assembly, but refused to comment.
