Former prime minister Sali Berisha has warned that democratic deputies may go on hunger strike if their demands are not met.

In a media conference with journalists, Berisha underlined that the opposition action will continue and there is no going back, not specifying when the hunger strike of the opposition MPs can start. 

"The battle continues. We are absolutely determined to make the greatest sacrifices to restore our constitutional rights as I add here that every day proves that in some respects we are late in this battle. You saw Pashiq 's  (former Serbian prime minister) proposal for Kosovo. You saw how the Albanian Pashiqi proposed that the Radoiciës become police commanders in Kosovo. He has the courage to publish it even after Radoicic became the leader of a terrorist group. Every day that passes, this harms the interests of Albanians. You remember how he canceled the meeting with the government of Kosovo. How he rushed against Kurt because he had submitted the draft for Radoicic to become police commanders in Kosovo. "Parliament has been put under the table, it has become virtual," said Berisha.

During the opposition's action last week, the Ethics Commission expelled 8 DP deputies due to the chaos created in the plenary sessions and parliamentary committees. The situation worsened after a physical clash between MP Bledion Nallbani and socialist Vullnet Sinaj, a matter which has been referred to SPAK. CNA
