The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, took his speech at the podium in front of the Prime Minister's Office. Berisha said that the year 2026 will be known in history as the year of anti-dictatorships.

He said that together with the protesting citizens, they are in the square to preserve the ideals of justice and freedom. The Chief Democrat also called for massive participation in the opposition's national protest to be held on January 24.

That is why we come here because we believe in the right ideals and that these ideals will soon triumph. We are facing the most shameful regime in Europe and the world. The regime that wherever you touch it, only theft of Albanians flows. A regime that is kept afloat by deception and fabrications. That is why we must give it the punishment it deserves. Edi Rama is moving towards a coup d'état. He challenges and humiliates Albanians every day. The opposition has decided to call a protest on January 24 where clear messages will be given to Edi Rama.
