Oerd Bylykbashi: In the beginning was the Word and the Word was next to God, and

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

The Gospel of John opens with these words.

The first was free speech.

Then came December 8, 1990, the freedom to create a party and turn words into conviction and action. There is only one word that embodies that date: Students.

Then came December 11, 1990, the freedom to choose between two different opinions. There is only one word that symbolizes that date: Democratic Party.

Then came January 5, 1991, the freedom to express and write the free word and read and listen to it without hindrance. There is only one word that represents that date: Democratic Renaissance.

Three dates that are big, each one separately, but all three together are the biggest and extraordinary three-step dance to freedom of the Albanians. A dance called Democracy.

Honor belongs to those who marked December 8, 1990 in the calendar of history, belongs to those who bravely joined them on December 11, 1990 and founded the Democratic Party, belongs to those who on January 5, 1991 eagerly bought the first issue that carried on leaf free speech. The honor also belongs to those who gathered on December 11, 2021 to re-establish these dates, but who also have the duty to ensure that those dates are not extinguished by the descendants of those from whom we stole free speech 33 years ago and those who they feel like Jews.

But even when free-dancing, one must keep one's eyes open. Because one generation is enough to lose your freedom. In fact, it only took one generation for the bleak dream of democracy 33 years ago to turn into an illusion of democracy.

Oerd Bylykbashi: In the beginning was the Word and the Word was next to God, and

Those who could not be arrested for free speech 33 years ago, are arrested today, 33 years later, for free speech.

On January 5, 1991, we had free speech, we spoke it, wrote it and read it without shame, but we had nothing to eat, we had no modern houses, cars, bars, wealth and property, you couldn't go beyond the clone on the border before they still shot behind the backs of those whose descendants rule today.

Today we have a lot but we don't have free speech. The test of free speech is not how many newspapers, radios, TV, portals or accounts in social networks Albanians have. The test is whether when you speak freely, you are not afraid of being fined, fired or arrested on trumped-up charges of corruption, unlawful assembly or clashing with the police in exercising your freedoms to accuse the government.

A deputy is elected to bring free speech to parliament, to say it there even in a strong tone, accusing thieves, the corrupt and the unjust. Disagreeing with those free words matters less than the freedom to say those words. If the deputy does not speak, he has not done his duty. If they don't let him speak, they violated the freedom of speech of those tens of thousands of citizens who trusted the MP with their free speech.

Arresting and taking away the right of expression from the leader of the opposition is not just one person, but three columns that hold the roof have been hit to collapse: December 8 of pluralism, December 11 of democracy and January 5 of speech. free.

We cannot let this happen! Because those three dates apply to every democrat, honest socialist, individual without a party, in Albania or the diaspora. Without them, there are no free elections for democratic rotation, but only votes to confirm the regime.

Edi Rama, like the Machiavellian prince of the 21st century, does not try to erase those dates from the calendar. He is trying to confuse them, confuse them, turn them into opinion. Two December 8th, two December 11th, and for shame two January 5th.

Fortunately, the antibodies we produced on December 11, 2021 serve to distinguish between the free truth that kills the regime, from the "truth" engineered and genetically modified in the judicial laboratory of power.

Long live the "Democratic Renaissance", these first letters that planted freedom of speech for Albanians on the white paper.
