First there was the word, then the hatred!

First there was the word, then the hatred!
In the beginning was the word. But the word was not a knife. It was not a bullet. It was not an order to kill. It was not a congratulatory message to the murderer.
In the streams of social networks, words flow like murky water that no longer reflects the blue of the sky or the green of the trees, but the mud of the soul.
Every comment written in anger, filled with slander and anger is a digital stone that hits. Words kill more than bullets - people say.

The Kanun, the harsh book of the mountains, often misused to justify violence, has a clause that should be read aloud today: Clause 86.

"He who goes to the milk and opens his mouth with evil and slanderous words, sometimes about one, sometimes about another, is called by the mouth of the canon "Bad Laborer". -"No one calls him to work, no one gives him a salary".
Today, the bad laborer does not work in the field, but in the garden of comments. He is the digital lyncher who spreads the poisonous seeds of slander and hatred. His salary is the click, the flattery and the anger/approval of the crowd.

In this vortex, another confusion occurs: the people and the crowd. With a smile, you see that "I am with the people", "I am crying for the people's plight".
The people demand justice, the crowd demands blood.
The people speak, the crowd screams.
The people think and reflect, the crowd pursues and destroys.
The people punish and reward with votes, the crowd flatters and sells votes.
The people unite around an idea, a program, a goal, the crowd is united by emotion, fear, anger.
The people want to understand, the crowd wants to explode.

And when the crowd dressed in virtual avatars goes hunting, hatred turns into entertainment.
The consequences are obvious: you only have to open your eyes: a society that no longer trusts anyone, not even its own jacket, individuals who see enemies everywhere, "intellectuals" who still believe in Katowice, and generations that are taught that anger is a virtue and that digital folk judges are the heroes of the time.

When you sow the wind, you reap the storm. When you feed the tongue of violence, you reap violence. And when you kill the word, prepare for death.

In the end: what do we harvest from this digital field that we sow every day with anger? The word, like the seed, sprouts. And if we continue to cultivate the wild language, its thorns will soon devour everyone, leaving society in a wasteland without faith and without words.
