“Nuk ka mjekë spitali. Shkojmë nga Përmeti në Tepelenë për të marrë ilaçe. Vetë bileta e autobusit është 4 mijë lekë. Si të kurohemi kur s’kemi as para për të shkuar gjer’ atje? Nuk kemi mjekë moj bijë, kupton, nuk kemi kujdes shëndetësor. Po plakemi duke pritur ndihmën që nuk vjen”.

Nuk është qytet pas lufte e as pas ndonjë fatkeqësie natyrore. Nuk është as fshat i humbur ku ha pula gurë. Në Përmetin e 2025-ës, lindur si qendër administrative qysh në shek. XV jeta është tërhequr nga brenda si gjaku nga një plagë e vjetër. Shteti është larguar duke e mësuar qytetin të mos e kërkojë më. As me shërbim mjekësor.

E si të mos mjaftojë, në qytetin ku mungon mjeku, ku pas ziles së urgjencës askush nuk vrapon më, qeveria ka vendosur që të rikonstruktojë një pjesë të spitalit dhe ta kthejë në qendër pritjeje për emigrantët nga vendet e treta.

Një metaforë e përsosur e pushtetit të Shqipërisë së sotme, që gjendet për këdo përveçse për shqiptarët.

Kur dëgjoja në lajme zërin e shuar të një përmetari të moshuar me dinjitet e braktisur si mosozot nuk dija si ta ulërisja atë shpërbërje të kontratës sociale, asaj fijeje të fundme që lidh qenien njerëzore me idenë e shtetit.

Nuk ka metaforë më të fortë për mënyrën se si po përmbyset rendi moral i këtij vendi, që behet strehë për çdo emigrant që përze Europa e ndërkohë të moshuarit, te pamundurit, të braktisurit e vet bëjnë kilometra me kocka të thyera për pak shëndet.

Por Përmeti pa spital, ku lindin aq rrallë fëmijë është një ndër laboratoret e eksperimentit për administrimin e qëllimshëm të shpopullimit.

Atij shpopullimi që nuk është statistikë, por funeral i përditshëm. Këtu, mu bash këtu qëndron absurdi i madh! Avokati i Popullit diskutohet si trofe politik, tradhëti brenda llojit, shah mat i të gjithpushtetshmit, ndërsa populli trajtohet si humbje kolaterale.

Opozita duhet gjykuar për mungesën e guximit për të pranuar publikisht se ky institucion sot është simbolik, si shumë të tjerë, sepse ky pushtet nuk pyet askënd, se ka shfuqizuar llogaridhënien.

Në një vend normal, zgjedhja e Avokatit të Popullit do të ishte një akt konsensusi moral. Në Shqipëri është një ushtrim i padobishëm procedural, sepse padrejtësia nuk është devijim i rastit, por sistemike.

Këtu nuk ka as naivitet dhe as keqllogaritje. Mund të jenë edhe të dyja xhanëm, ama ka diçka më të rrezikshme se kaq, iluzioni se me Ramën mund të bësh marrëveshje funksionale. Se mund të japësh diçka sot, për të fituar diçka nesër. Se mund të pranosh një kompromis “të vogël”, pa u gëlltitur nga kompromisi i madh.

Ky pra ky është cinizmi i vërtetë i situatës, pushteti të fton në një tavolinë ku tema është simbolike, ndërsa realiteti është mysybet. Por opozita nuk e ka luksin e “pjekurisë procedurale”. Ka vetëm detyrimin e qartësisë morale dhe strategjike.

Procedural debates are the territory of power. The territory of the opposition is the cities that are dying, hospitals without doctors, streets without safety, families without hope. Every time the opposition chooses the hall over the field, it loses.

The opposition cannot help the government appear democratic, because it is Përmet and every city that is turning into a ghost, that is being emptied of Albanians and is being flooded with immigrants, where they leave you to die without a doctor, keep you ignorant without education, poison you with uncontrolled food, the debate about symbolic institutions is a cynical luxury. And accepting this luxury is the most sophisticated form of surrender.

This government has built mechanisms of pressure, seduction, patronage, and assimilation, so it comes as no surprise that oppositions are not always broken from above, but are also disintegrated from within.

I am convinced, from meticulous history, that the opposition does not lose when someone openly betrays it, but because someone relativizes the battle. And where this happens, the opposition must be stricter with itself than with its opponent.

To the MPs who put their signature on a process with many names, I would suggest a stop outside the halls. A stop in Përmet to see what it means to have a city that no longer has a hospital, but turns into a transit terminal for those who are being chased by Europe. If the opposition does not connect every decision, every signature and every process to the concrete fate of the people it represents, there is no victory in any procedure.

The opposition must also accept the cost of conflict, because there is no effective opposition without cost. Not every conflict is radicalism, sometimes it is a necessity, because the Opposition does not exist to balance power. It exists to challenge it.
Përmet does not need a symbolic People's Advocate. It may seem pathetic, but it does not hurt to remind the opposition that it represents a real people that is disappearing and must measure every signature with the weight of this depopulation.

Chess with Rama, for any opposition party, is not won by playing his pieces better. It is won by rejecting the game. By shifting the debate from the hall to reality, from names to consequences, from procedures to people who are losing their lives, property and hope.

It's not the one who makes the wrong move who loses, it's the one who agrees to play a game designed to never be won who loses.
