The mother of the famous singer Beyonce has reacted to the comments that came from fans on the network to the famous singer for "skin whitening". 

These comments came from fans after Beyonce appeared in a different look, with platinum blonde hair and a silver dress on the red carpet on Saturday.

Some criticized Beyoncé on social media for changing her look and said she "looks so white".

In a lengthy Instagram post, Tina Knowles defended her daughter and said the comments were racist.

She pointed out that people who accused Beyoncé of bleaching her skin were "stupid", "ignorant" and "self-hating".

"She does a movie, called Renaissance, where the whole theme is silver with silver hair, a silver carpet, and suggestive silver clothing, and you say she's trying to be a white woman and bleaching her skin?":m she said. 

Her social media post has been liked more than 250,000 times since she shared it on Tuesday evening.
