The well-known filmmaker Kristaq Dhamo has passed away at the age of 89.
The news was announced by director Joni Shanaj. The latter informs that the filmmaker died next to his two daughters and his wife, archaeologist Dhorka Dhamo, in one of the hospitals of Ancona, in Italy.
Kristaq Dhamo was born on April 20, 1933 in Fier. He graduated from the Higher Cinematographic Institute in Budapest, Hungary.
Then he started working at the Film Studio-"New Albania" and made the first Albanian feature film "Tana" in 1958./ BA - CNA.al
