The Korça Prosecutor's Office has issued an arrest warrant for IS, who was previously detained by the police as the suspected perpetrator of the murder of 52-year-old KT.

During interrogation, IS maintained a denial, refusing to admit responsibility for the crime, but the police and the Korça Prosecutor's Office have collected sufficient evidence that documents the entire dynamic from the moment the crime was committed until the perpetrator left the 52-year-old's apartment.

The investigation shows that the perpetrator, like every other night, spent Sunday evening at the home of the 52-year-old woman with whom he had been in a relationship for several years.

It is suspected that there was a momentary quarrel between the couple, which escalated into physical violence by Selman against the 52-year-old woman and ultimately ended with the murder of his partner and the burning of the apartment.

The perpetrator was known to the police as a drug user, due to which he often showed symptoms of depression. On the other hand, the victim had also recently shown mental health problems./ CNA
