They stole vehicles, apartments and tobacco shops in Tirana and Durrës/ 4

The police have finalized the operation codenamed "Theft Network", to crack down on a criminal group specializing in property theft.

Members of this group are suspected of having committed thefts of vehicles, boats, and homes.

As part of the operation, 4 people were arrested, while another is wanted.

The group is suspected of having committed 4 thefts, including the theft of a boat in Sukth, a tobacconist in the village of Bilalas, and two vehicles in Mullet, Tirana.

Police have seized a speedboat, a pickup truck and other equipment used during the crimes as material evidence. Meanwhile, work continues to unravel more cases of thefts suspected to have been committed by this group.

The police operation codenamed "Theft Network" is being finalized to crack down on criminal activity in the field of property theft.

They stole vehicles, boats, apartments and tobacconists, the group operating in the Durrës and Tirana regions was identified and targeted.

Four members of the group are arrested and another member of the group is wanted.

Four thefts committed in Sukth, in the village of Bilalas and in Mullet, Tirana, are being cleared up and documented with legal evidence, and work continues on documenting a series of other thefts suspected to have been committed by this group.

A Skaf boat, a pickup truck, and other material evidence that will serve to document other thefts committed by this group were seized as material evidence.

In implementation of the plan of measures drafted by the Durrës Local Police Directorate, for taking measures to prevent thefts, uncover those that have occurred previously, and identify and apprehend the perpetrators, the services of the Shijak Police Commissariat, based on information obtained operationally about a group that was committing thefts in the Durrës district, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Theft network".

As part of the operation, the following citizens were captured and arrested:

DS, 26 years old, resident of Marikaj;

DM, 18 years old, resident of Shkodra;

EM, 38 years old, resident of Mamurras;

AL, 48 years old, resident of Mamurras.

A wanted notice was issued and work continues to capture citizen EZ, 49 years old, resident of Tirana.

As a result of investigative actions, it became possible to uncover and document with legal evidence the following events:

Theft of the speedboat belonging to citizen SK, in Sukth;

Theft in the wardrobe of citizen RV, in the village of Bilalas;

Theft of two vehicles, specifically a van and a pickup truck, stolen in Mullet, Tirana on 13.02.2025.

During the operation, a watercraft, a pickup truck, the clothes used by the suspects in the theft of citizen RV's cigarette case, and four mobile phones were seized as material evidence.

Investigative actions continue for the legal document of other thefts committed by these citizens.

The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecution Office at the Court of First Instance of Durrës, for the criminal offense of "Theft" committed in collaboration. /CNA
