Land, apartment, luxury car/ SPAK confiscates the assets of Alket Hatija

The Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, in addition to the exercise of criminal prosecution, has taken care to have in the attention of its work the identification, seizure and confiscation of assets which are suspected to be derived from crime.

Pursuant to Normative Act No. 1, dated 31.01.2020 "On preventive measures in the framework of the fight against terrorism, organized crime, serious crimes and the consolidation of public safety order", the Special Prosecutor's Office has addressed the Special Court of First Degree for Corruption and Organized Crime with the request for the confiscation of the assets of the subject Alket Hatija (and persons related to him) declared guilty by decision no. 10, dated 26.03.2010, of the former Court of First Instance for Serious Crimes, for the commission of the criminal offense "Trafficking in narcotics", committed in cooperation, more than once, provided for by Article 283/a/2 of the Code Criminal (this decision was left in force by decision no. 966, dated 08.11.2010, of the former Court of Appeal for Serious Crimes, Tirana.

At the request of the Special Prosecutor's Office, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime with decision no. 24, dated 31.10.2023, among others, decided the confiscation and transfer in favor of the state of the assets as follows:

Real estate of the "plot" type, with an area of ??495 m2, with the address Lagjia "Plazh", Durrës, owned by the citizen Alket Hatija.

Real estate of the "plot" type, with an area of ??320 m2, with the address Lagjia "Plazh", Durrës, owned by the citizen Alket Hatija;

Real estate of the "garage" type, with an area of ??14.74 m2, with address Lagjia No. 13, Plazh, Durrës, owned by the related person MH

Real estate of the apartment type, with an area of ??118 m2, with address Lagjia no. 1, Rruga "Taulantia", Durrës, owned by the related person FH

Real estate of the "apartment" type, with a total area of ??65 m2, with address Kryemëdhenj, Kavajë, owned by citizen FH;

BMË brand passenger car, manufactured in 2003;

49% of the quotas of the subject "Aquila Marble" sh.pk, belonging to the related person MH;

Against the decision of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, the subject Alket Hatija and the persons related to him and the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime with decision no. 137 dated 07.05.2024 have appealed decided:

Enacting decision no. 24, dated 31.10.2023, of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime./ CNA
